Guess I should put some quotes on that, huh? I did get pretty far south on bruny island – second day in a row. I believe it
s the closest place to antarctica, no?
Finally feels like summer here – finally rode in shorts and short sleeves and had to apply sunscreen! Don’s even know where to start – loved Bruny Island – can ride for hours without seeing a car – and can pee on the side of the road. Although, I did have to pay for water – out of an outside spigot?!? Indulged in another rhubarb muffin with walnuts from the ferry store (yum), an apple bread pudding kind of thing, and several apricots.
Today is truly the first day that I actually didn’t have a clue as to what day it really was. I laid on the beach and read. I put my toes into the Tasman sea (or was it pelican bay?). I looked for peguins. I climbed to the top of the stairs so that I could look over the isthmus that I’ve ridden four times in two days. And I had conversations with folks who find Bruny to be boring as there isn
t anything to do there/?! Some of them pay $120 for a 2 hour
